OCP inks for Epson L800 available...

Question is: will it be better than the OEM?
The only bad news about the OEM was weak resistance - and OCP dyes are not known for high UV resistance too...like the most 3rd party dye inks...

Yes, also not many inquiring for 3rd part inks for that printer.
OCP provide also magenta,yellow,cyan for l300,l200,l100
only photo cyan and magenta are extra for l800
so you now what this means
i think atm there is no better ink for that printer .

Well that means either the OCP descided that it will make no harm to use CMYK inks from L800 on other L series printers, or they made one inkset to save money.

This can be confirmed only with gamut test, let's not jump to any conclusions yet.

Hi everyone,

Besides L series which is dye-based CIS printer, Epson also has M series which is pigment-based black only CIS printer.

It seems that Epson in their M series, uses true black pigment ink (http://www.epson.com.vn/resource/vietnam/product_brochures/ink_tank_system/M100.pdf). I don't have a chance to look for the difference between the 2 CISS. They both look very similar. How come they solve the issue of pigment ink settle down in the ink tank... @The Hat

Just wonder if we can buy L series and then refill it with Epson pigment black ink of M series...

Does anyone have experience with this printer series?

The L series and M series may look similar in that they both have an inbuilt CISS but that’s where the similarity could well end.

They may have used some sort of vacuum or pumping system to overcome the sediment settling just like a lot of the newer faster printers have now.. (Pure guess)

When I was writing the reply I remembered your post about the Epson L series and about the pigment ink issue with their CIS, laying somewhere in this forum, so I tagged you in just to make a relationship between them.
