Hi everybody. I'm happy to say that I have converted my WF2750 to chipless operation - that means the cartridges are no longer monitored and always register full even if there is no cartridge installed! Therefore I am able to use any third party cartridges or CISS systems with no restriction imposed by the OEMs. Does anyone know if such firmware modification software or some other method exists to enable me to also convert my older and very trusty Epson D120 to chipless? I did read somewhere that it may be possible to create some of the cartridge electronic chips chipless by scraping off a certain small area of carbon film band. Anyone any ideas for the D120? Thanks.

I'm not aware of any option to make an old D120 chipless, get an L310 Ecotank printer instead, and all problems are solved. You can run it with dye inks or pigment inks without problem.
