well right now seems better, i tryied again the post-it trick, and seems to help, and with canon paper, that bottom banding is much less, though quality is not totally perfect to attentive eye.

I don't know anyway if try to give it to assistance for a check, as after a pair of cleanings, i still can see a very light banding over images, so maybe it can cause a more visible one at bottom, though i can't understand how the nozzle test is perfect, while print quality is not totally perfect.

The only thing that makes me think about what to do, is that soon OEM inks will finish, if i want to give to assistance i have to do it early, as i can't refill and have warranty still i think... i'm always afraid that i would stay like a month without printer!

This is a scan of latest try, with canon paper, and quality 1, the previous was 2, so with less head passes. As you see bottom is much better, though i tryied different photos, still not perfect, and in background part, there is a very light banding, difficult to see from scan anyway.

It's quite funny for me to find myself worrying about this things, i come from different epsons, that i have left cause always clogged nozzles problems, and now with brand new canon i got kind of different problems, never easy to be happy :)

Well, I can't say I noticed the same problem on my friend's mp960. I didn't browse for the source images you used so I used my own.

Source image Costco cans of Kodak Gold 100 film. Camera is Pentax with the stock zoom lens (don't have that info handy). I was having one of those days I couldn't find my camera bag, so I grabbed the nearest camera before touring the Yucatan Conventos.

Prints done on the mp960 from EZ photo print using PP-101 4x6 paper rear feeder OEM ink print #13-16.
