When I start up my iP7250 it makes lots of noises it shouldn't and then flashes the following light sequence:
orange white orange white orange white, with the last white being prolonged. What does this mean?

It is most likely caused by a paper jam. See the online manual: Troubleshooting - Alarm lamp flashes orange and: Troubleshooting - Paper Jams.

@ricecrispies The flashes could also be caused by a something preventing the opening of the output tray or maybe other mechanical blockage inside the printer, see this screenshot from the online manual:

I tried googling "iP7250 error 6000" but found no useful answers, but I think the flashes mean something is blocked in the printer, by a paper jam or other cause.

Probably too late to help you but removing and replacing the print head often solves the problem with this printer
