Thanks for the report.

It looks like good news for Brother owners :)

I got delivery of this kit yesterday and tried it out on the Canon ink tanks but got nowhere with it, a complete bummer.:barnie

Not put off by my first attempts I will try using it again later when I get more time to study it a bit better,
all in all its not a bad little kit and it probably will work better on the Brother cartridge than it does on my Canon cart..
Ill check if I have any of those canons at the shop and will try

Just watched the video on Youtube. I got to say that looks like a very long and drawn out way to refill these cartridges.

I will post a video on youtube shortly and show you the right way to fill these :)

PeterBj re the disaster Youtube clip the Wife has just pointed out the CYAN splattered blind. Only showed when lowered probably a Freedom refill that went wrong. Cannot shift it done several weeks ago New Blind who said refilling was cheap.

With reference to the Brother kits do you notice that you cannot see the right hand. The plunger seems to be going do at a far faster rate than freedom does i.e. being pushed ?. A lot of bubbles on the top of the ink container as well.

You may be right about the plunger being pushed in the refill video. The same might be the case in this video also about Freedom refilling Brother cartridges, found in this link: http://www.druckerchannel.de/artikel.php?ID=3334&t=brother_refill_workshop or a Google translation: http://translate.google.dk/translat...artikel.php?ID=3334&t=brother_refill_workshop , scroll down to the video.

I have also experimented with the Freedom Refill Method, and I admit it is tempting to push the plunger if ink doesn't enter the cartridge. Don't do that! You don't want to pressurize the cartridge. Instead find out why the ink doesn't enter the cartridge, most likely the cause is an air leak in the adapter or the vent isn't sealed properly.

Ghwellsjr made it very clear, that you should never push the plunger, in this post about the Freedom Refill Method: http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=6750
