Hello, I just wonder are there tests how many photos certain printer will print? Because the 5% nonsense that manufacturer list is just for text and even then far from truth.

Probably the tests by druckerchannel.de will give the information you are looking for. Here is an example: http://www.druckerchannel.de/artikel.php?ID=3276&seite=6&t=die_druckkosten scroll down to "Fotodruckkosten (von Druckerchannel gemessen)". If you don't read German, you can use Google translate to translate into English or your primary language. Even if this translation is not perfect, you will usually get the meaning.

I've kept an accurate log for two of the printers I use (R2000 and P50), for over 10000 prints, they both average to about 1ml of ink per A4 for 100% coverage photos.
If you can find the amount of ink each cartridge of your printer holds, in ml, multiply that by the number of colors used and you'll get a good estimate of how many A4 photos you can print...

If you switch to refilling your own cartridges then ink usage will never be a problem to you again,
on the other hand its then the paper that costs.
