Are never used old inkjet cartridges worth anything

I have several inkjet cartridges that are brand new, in the sense that they were never used, but they are old. For instance, I have an Epson T007 black cartridge that has an expiration date of July 05. I have a Canon BC-02 that is about that old, but I can't find the expiration date. Are these still serviceable or usable in some way?

Thanks,

JD

Hi,

as far as I know most of the inkjet cartridges have 2 years shelf life. Although I've never tried an inkjet cartridge older then that, they may work fine. If you are going to install them, let us know if they print fine

Cartridges containing pigmented ink like the Epson and the BC-02 (I presume text black) should be shaken well, prior before installing to resuspend the pigment particles back into solution to prevent nozzle clogging.

Simon,

I don't have the printers for the cartridges. Wondering whether I can sell them on Craigslist. A google search indicated that most of the time these work well. Will sell them at a discount with full disclosure. Thanks,

JD
