Since G&G is so good, do you have to have a different printer profile for this ink? I mean besides the ones (Canon) Grampa has allready supplied us with??

All I can give is my opinion......
I'm a Canon man. I wouldn't have a HP shoved up my #$%^%$#$%^&^%$#$##!!
I had a HP that was WEEKS past the guarentee and it went south! I'll NEVER buy a HP again! They are ink hogs... I cound go on forever.
I now have a Canon i9900 and a older Canon S800...
Thanks for the clue on pre-filled carts with Formulabs ink. I am using pre-filled and want the best ink so any more information will be appreciated.

In reviewing the ink tests, most of the tests are for re-filling the carts yourself. I just want to buy pre-filled carts BUT want the quality. So far Inkgrabbers has the cheapest price of recommended suppliers.
Any suggestions?

Hey! That was easy!
As far as what I did, I just tried to follow instructions here and kind of put the data in these selections one at a time. The picture you see came out very Magenta then very Green BUT I'm not sure that is a good pic to start with, being an inside shot. Lighting issues...
Thank you, JV. I'll work on getting some screen shots, I have to take my Father-in-law to the doctor first. Do you have a pic sharing website you use here or did I miss something where you can post a pic in the reply? Copy and paste didn't work.
Thanks..

Since I got my printer I have been fighting with the profiles to get decent color. I've downloaded the profile from Grampa for Costco paper and Canon ink as well as try every other driver installed with various levels of success, none very good. Everything seems to have a red or magenta cast...
Hi all....
My printer came today! I'm still floundering about trying to get the right color.
As far as profiles go, up to now I have been just using whatever 'automatic' settings were used upon install. If the color cast was off, I just adjusted in Adobe and printed again. I am not even...
Thank you for the reply. I have been reading Neil Slade's page for days now. This is part of the reason I decided on the Canon i9900. (It should be here today!) I have had the best luck with Canon printers, reason #2.
Now, on to questions.
What kind of large paper do you use and where do...
I just ordered a Canon i9900 after tons of reading here and elswhere, perhaps you've seen some of my questions.
I thought that, perhaps the i9900 owners could make themselves avalable for newbe questions. Such as:
Which non-OEM ink works best for them?
Is profiling software necessary or do...
I just ordered the i9900 Canon I was wondering about in earlier posts. While I wait, I'm running into posts that talk about old and new ink from Inkgrabbers. I ordered a couple of black cartridges from them for my S800 just to 'test them out'. They came in a Yellow and blue box labeled, "G&G...
Thanks for all your input.
It's clear now that if one is concerned about $$ then get the i9900 because waiting for the new printers puts you into fall before you get the 3d party inks and with the big price increase, money is an issue. I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet on the archival...
I'm the family 'photographer', I don't sell anything but when a family member needs pictures they come to me. I had a HP 2000C for 'general' printing and my Canon S800 for photographs. I do a lot of old photo restoration (for the family) as well. My HP just 'retired' and I was thinking of the...
