Hi...just bought an MG6120 to replace my dead MP610.
From reading threads, the best way to refill is to get OEM cli-221/pgi-220, and swap the chips over.
Did I miss anything? I also believe a resetter is now out on th emarket for these cartridges, but I will do a little more digging.
Thanks...
Thanks...will try that solution. I had not blown out the water already, so I'm not sure of the color now.
I don't think the ink was completely dry, but I will find out after, I guess.
Thanks for the confirmation.
Eric
Hi all...
I've been trying to wade through all the info here, and can't seem to find exact info, so I hope someone can confirm this.
I am in the process of flushing a Canon PGPK cartridge, since I'm going from an IP8500 to an MP610, so I've picked up the right diameter tubing, etc, to fit the...
Sorry I took so long to acknowledge this...was away.
But thanks for the input. They indeed sent me the right ink.
The banding is gone after cleaning the printhead.
I get very different results based on what paper I am using...don't want to get into color profiles (yet), but I am going to...
Lilla, thanks for the suggestions, and for all your help.
Reinstalled the drivers, tried to clean the mylar strip to the best of my ability, couldn't figure out what beige plastic strips are being referred to, so I didn't accomplish that.
Same issue...manual print head alignment gives me no...
I am doing a print head alignment...It's a manual one, and column "K" is off. That was what started the thread. Trying to solve that problem.
So...no more banding when printing a test photo...that's with the new cartridges. The photo looks OK, but I can't get a solid color in column K on the...
Any of you know exactly what the extended nozzle check is supposed to look like?
I've got the print, but have no way uploading it?

Hi,
Just refilled my ip8500 with MIS inks and new hobbicolor cartridges.
Everything looks good, except on a manual print head alignment, column "K" is banded all the way throughout the range (-5 to +5).
Have run cleaning, deep cleaning, to no avail.
Does anyone know just what exact...
Hi...
Just received MIS inks for my Canon ip8500. Just two questions...
1. Although I ordered Photo Magenta and Photo Cyan, I received Light Magenta and Light Cyan (CANS800-4-LC and -LM instead of -PC and -PM). Are they equivalent?
2. Long term storage...keep in a cool, dark place...
Curious as to how those screws with the built in o-rings are working?
As well, I have tried to contact Jetyoung in regards to the black rubber "quick-fill plugs" that panos mentioned, but have not received a reply yet. The link that someone published to the weink site, which look like the...
Sorry it took so long to thank you two, had to run out of country on family business, but thanks as always...
FYI...decided on sticking with BCI cartridges, since I'm receiving a iP8500 in the mail to replace my i960 momentarily.
Knew someone would come out with the chip resetter....bet you it...
Question...
Afetr purging, how does one tell when the carts are dry enough to receive ink? After there are no signs of condensation above the sponge (which I still have)? Or is there another method to tell?
TIA...Eric
Anyone have any experience refilling the new Canon printers using the CLI cartridges?
I am out of luck trying to get my Canon i960 to give a good nozzle check, despite all my efforts of cleaning, so my choice is either to take a shot at buying a new printhead, and hope that's the problem, get a...
