Hobbicolors new UW-8 ink reviewed for the ip5000 on kirkland paper

Hi, it's been a while. I've been busy printing lots! :) Heres a preliminary review for the Hobbicolors UW-8 ink in the ip5000 printing on Costco Kirkland 8*11 and 4*6 glossy microporus paper. This review is for (4) color CMYK and does not include PM + PC. I should mention that technically the...

    New Costco 4*6

My local Costco just began stocking Kirkland Glossy Pro in 4*6 size. Nice! Think it was 2 packages of 150 each. Thing is though, I'm so used to cutting my own custom wide format sizes, I don't know if I'll go back to boring old 4*6 again. BTW, Can anyone recommend a good and cheap...

ICC Profile request! Hobbicolor inks, and either a 4clr or 6clr Cannon

Just ordered Hobbicolor bulk inks. Will review them soon. Does anyone have a ICC profile for Hoobicolor? My perfect profile would be Hobbicolor, 4 clr BCI-6, and Kirklands paper. I'm using a ip5000, but any Canon 4 color should produce the same color profile, or close enough to tweak in print...

So, what Canon 3rd party ink is good? Totally confused...

Everyone seems to have a favorite inks, and for each of those someone else says it's color is off, or it clogs, or something. So, what inks are people using and happy with? Also, are there custom profiles for the ip4000 or ip5000 (or other 4clr BCI-6) with any 3rd Party Inks? I've tried...

Anyone profiled Formulabs inks (Arrow, Alotofthings, etc) on a Canon?

Particularly a Canon 4 color such as the 4000, 5000, etc? I'm looking for a profile for my 5000 that is close.

Anyone tested Formulabs BCI-6 inks on a *4 color* printer?

I ask becasue I have "arrow" carts from Alotofthings.com which is supposed to use Formulabs inks, and the results are really purple shadows, and jaundice yellow skins. Maybe I got a bad batch, maybe they have poor quality control and don't test the ink, maybe the 4 color inks just suck. I have...

Review: Costco "Kirkland" brand "professional glossy inkjet" paper

Everyone said good things about this paper and I've also had good results with it. It's $19 for 125 8x11 sheets. It's an excellent quality high gloss paper, producing good blacks, good satuartion, and has a nice weight. It seems most people suspect it's Ilford paper, as it's made in Switzerland...

Review of "alotofthings.com" Arrow BCI-6 carts with Formulabs ink

I read good stuff about Formulabs color accuracy and longevity. However, test on my ip5000 have some issues, especially with purple/magenta tints in shadows. Also, I'm getting more blending/dithering posterization than with the OEM. Overall complaints about the ink based on bright room viewing...

Canon IP5000 - best ink and paper

There is a lot of great info here and elsewhere to find the best ink/paper replacements for a Canon IP5000! Various inks were tested for fading and the results posted in another forum. Results indicate Inktec and Formulabs are the most fade resistant, and also have high density blacks. On...
