Everyone said good things about this paper and I've also had good results with it. It's $19 for 125 8x11 sheets. It's an excellent quality high gloss paper, producing good blacks, good satuartion, and has a nice weight.

It seems most people suspect it's Ilford paper, as it's made in Switzerland and performs the same.

I haven't tested water resistance or long term fade, but so far so good.

Too bad Costco doesn't sell this in other sizes, or other Ilford papers like a pearl finish.

I dunked a small test sample under water and was impressed with how well the color held. There was a little bleeding, but overall I was pretty impressed. A function of that may have been the ink, and I'd love to see experiments of OEM ink on this great paper for longevity and water resistance.

What ink was it? And BTW, what ink are you using? I need another to test.

I can't remember what inks it was, but probably Formulabs back then. I'm currently using Formulabs CMYK and Image Specialists pigment black (because of the black bleeding I always got from the alotofthings.com pigment inks). If you want to test another ink I'd suggest Image Specialists. Both Formulabs and Image Specialists get a lot of attention.

I have run cold water completely over the surface of this paper, (48 hours after it was printed using media street inks) and there was no bleeding, running or redustion in detail, but there was a noticable dulling of the gloss finish. I did not blot, just leaned it up at an angle to dry.

Weight of the Kirkland Photo Paper has been reduced from 69 lb to 68 lb. Someone on the dpreview.com/forums noticed it.
The Costco Kirkland store has both the 69 lb and 68 lb versions. I exchanged my 68 lb for the 69 lb.

Does 68 and 69lb really make any difference? That's like 1.4% difference....
