    Canon Pixma PRO-1 (partly) demystified

Great, thanks for your feedback, @psl, much appreciated! I remember that I also stumbled across a sequence like this and tried multiple times with the B200 affected PRO-1 I still had. However, back then this procedure did not work. But now I learn from you that I'll just have to try harder next...

    Using an old printer

@raggamuffin, some months ago I wrote down a longer thread: Canon Pixma PRO-1 (partly) demystified. Check it out, maybe it can help to answer some of your questions :)

    Canon Pixma PRO-1 (partly) demystified

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Much appreciated :) @The Hat please find a scan of my nozzle check attached. I just saw that PBK and M are not 100% perfect. Guess they would be after quickly running a cleaning. Nevertheless, the photos I've just printed look all wonderful.

Problems and Service Mode Tricks with Canon Pixma Pro-1

As mentioned above, I have now written down my learnings and findings about the PRO-1 in this post here. It also contains a series of photos on how to dismantle the PRO-1.

    Canon Pixma PRO-1 (partly) demystified

I’ve recently bought a barely used non-functional PRO-1 almost for free and then also received two additional PRO-1 for free. In order to have at least one functional printer again I spent much time in trying to understand, debug and fix the PRO-1. This post is my brain dump about this topic and...

    Alternatives to Canon Pro-1 inks?

@anthonygh, I've very recently bought a refill kit for my PRO-1 at http://topink24.de/ (Germany) and it did work out perfectly, can definitely recommend it. Refilling is pretty easy but needs some preparation. The guide posted by @The Hat helped me a lot but also this video on the topic. Hope...

Problems and Service Mode Tricks with Canon Pixma Pro-1

Holy moly! Inspired by @real-nowhere-man I spent again some time with my 6700-sick Pro-1 again and managed to get into service mode, set the time and get rid of the error 6700! My printer is fully functional and is printing lovely photos again! :) The two points which I did wrong at first: As...

    Pro -1 nozzle check problems

Hi @anthonygh! Yes, it looks like these Pro-1 printers are becoming cheap goods -- exactly like you are saying, I also just recently bought 1 barely used Pro-1 almost for free and then shortly after that even received two Pro-1 for free (none of them was working out of the box, though, but...

Problems and Service Mode Tricks with Canon Pixma Pro-1

That's awesome, thanks a lot, @real-nowhere-man, for letting us know and congrats on fixing your PRO-1! 🥳 I just had a look at my locked-in-6700-Pro1 again and tried various different numbers of button presses -- including the 5 times that you suggested -- but nothing help getting into service...

Problems and Service Mode Tricks with Canon Pixma Pro-1

Wow, thanks @stratman, for your fast reply! :thumbsup Yes, thanks, I've fully read that thread already. I've just also tried Service Tool v3000 (which is according to that "easyfixs" page the right one for the Pro-1) but I still get a 006. Ok, after all that I read now (mostly on this forum)...

Problems and Service Mode Tricks with Canon Pixma Pro-1

Hi printer fans :) I recently bought a barely used Pro-1 almost for free. I knew that getting this box up and running again won't be easy sailing but saw the challenge in it and got it. I've now had already couple of successes but still it's not working as expected and I'm wondering if any of...
