I turn mines off. I already have a ton of other things sucking power so I don't want to add another one.
Also do all canon printers do a cleaning cycle everytime you start them up?
I would suggest thoroughly cleaning the print head - don't just hit it with air, clean it with alcohol and remove ALL ink from the head and let it dry. Also clean the connections on the back. Also try soaking it if it still doesn't work.
To me it seems like a nozzle is partially plugged and...
Can you explain how lighter colors = bleeding?
Bleeding usually means an excess that usually goes where its not supposed to, but if the color is saturated how can it be lighter?
I ordered from inkgrabber a week ago and I am glad that I recieved the new carts. I can say that they are really full and vacuum packed so they last longer I guess. I haven't used them yet.
I wouldn't be surprised if Canon had information collection devices. They are probably just being more deceptive about it. Printer companies seem to be hell bent on making people who buy their printers their slaves.
I wouldn't buy from anyone who told me that I had to add water to their ink. Either they make a good product or they don't. You shouldn't have to fix a seller's bad ink for them.
Do inkgrabber carts come in blue and yellow boxes labeled G&G?? I got my carts today and I have to say they where packaged very well. I'm wondering if these are the new carts mentioned by Neil.
The ink war I mention won't be between printer manufacterers, but between them and the 3rd party ink companies. Some printer companies already put chips in their carts - with 3rd party inks getting better and better I see them going to extreme measures to keep us from buying 3rd party ink.
I...
Well with third party ink getting better and better I see a major ink war in the future. I see the printer companies pulling out all the stops and creating some crazy ways to keep people buying oem ink.
Yeah, this forum is great. Now if only more people posted their experiences.
Maybe you should include people's printer info in their profile so that when they post a problem we can just look at their profile and see what kind of printer, ink, paper they are using, etc. or create a special...
Might I also suggest that maybe the problem is because the wrong type of ink is being used in the printer. In other words you are using pigment ink when your printer takes dye and vice versa.
I have been looking for a site that sells pigment black ink with their BCI-3ebk carts, but most places...
I would like to see a site that compares ink prices and quality from the many ink sites and stores. It would be even nicer if they included the reliability of the site and mention how often customers have to return bad ink carts, etc.
I wanted to add that I just got an email from inkgrabbers (keith R.), and he says that the canon Bci-3ebk carts are filled with dye based ink.
Well according to alotofthings those carts are supposed to be filled with pigment based ink. "One other note: A BCI-3eBK is a pigmented black ink tank...
Any new info on inkgrabber inks?
I find myself reluctant to purchase from a place that has a troubleshooting page on how to fix leaks, color mixing and dry carts. Should these problems be occuring with quality products? It is almost like they are conceeding that there WILL be problems with...
Since the alotofthings.com ink was recommended I was wondering what the quality is as far as clogging, and if the OP has done any furthur testing on their inks. Also what is the difference between their "Rainbow" carts and their "Arrowjet" carts.
Also I was wondering if anyone knew if MIS canon...
