Printer stopped printing Magenta. Black also not clean and has white line in test

Hi, I have a Pixma G2010 and suddenly after a week or so it stopped printing Magenta colour (Not even a micro dot of magenta), the black colour also has a white line of some sort as per the nozzle print page but that maybe because of the no magenta colour. I have attached nozzle test of FEB 2023...

Photo printouts from G2010 turn green after a month

Looks like Canon ranks number one for Confusing customers lol. Will replace the colours with Gi-73 after current tank runs out.

Photo printouts from G2010 turn green after a month

Are the GI-73 inks same as GI-53? GI-53's are not available in my country. GI-550/650 is also not available here. Instead a GI-570/670 is available. The Pixma G570 uses GI-73 here.

Photo printouts from G2010 turn green after a month

Hi, Why do my photo prints from G2010 become green after a month of printing? This never happened with my Canon E510 Printer. I printed some photos using my EOS 600D and stuck them on my wall and all turned green after a month or less. They are never exposed to sunlight. I use Kodak 200GSM...

Nozzle Check quality different in Printer vs Windows

True. Even after flushing the black tube empty and then refilling with ink it still developed bubbles after a week or so. Their QC in the Vietnam plant is not so good if you ask me. Saw some reviews where the rubber stopper on the inktank was missing. Only thing that made me take a Canon is...

Nozzle Check quality different in Printer vs Windows

To be honest I should have researched before getting an inktank. The maintenance and all other things are a real pain for a lazy person like me. The older E510 doesn't have anymore replacement supplies and refilling doesn't work that well for it so had to take this one as this one was the only...

Nozzle Check quality different in Printer vs Windows

Hi, Can anyone please tell me why the Nozzle check quality is lower when printed from Printer control panel vs when Printed from Windows? The black grids are not clean lines in Printer Control Panel Print, whereas they are clean in the Windows Print. If anyone wants the full res images I can...

Canon InkTanks and the Notorious Air in tube issue

Btw guys. How safe is the using a medical syringe method to suck back ink through the delivery tubes? The process uses a syringe which is attached where the CISS meets the cartridge and ink is pulled through the tubes using the suction of the syringe. There is a certain lock and unlock process...

Canon InkTanks and the Notorious Air in tube issue

@Ink stained Fingers @The Hat @websnail Just posting an update regarding the air bubble issue. Looks like the problem was indeed caused by moving the printer and sloshing of ink in the cartridge causing an air leak. As a result of this the ink moved back into the ink tubes from the cartridge...

New 70gsm paper soaking up more ink

@The Hat Hi, Got hold of some non ColorLok 80gsm paper after searching for 2 days. Prints dont soak up but take a few more seconds to dry out when compared to the 70gsm, maybe because the surface is a bit smoother and paper is bit thicker on the 80gsm.

New 70gsm paper soaking up more ink

I have some 100gsm laser+inkjet paper from Cedar but it is a ColorLok Licensed paper. I used them sparingly as they were a pain to find. Should I just use them for my daily printing needs? Will constant use of the 100gsm cause any issue in future like premature failure of the feed rollers? Also...

New 70gsm paper soaking up more ink

Actually it was the opposite lol. The older one was cheaper and newer one was from a more known brand. Anyways I think it maybe because of the smoother surface allowing the ink particles to move faster before drying.

New 70gsm paper soaking up more ink

Actually the previous brand I used had much less visibility from backside. Don't know what happened what's up with this new ream of paper I bought. Both are 70gsm with the only difference being that the previous brand had a rough texture on the surface and the newer one is more smooth.

New 70gsm paper soaking up more ink

Hi just got a new ream of 70gsm paper and I am seeing that it is soaking up more ink than the previous 70gsm brand. The newer brand has a smoother feel to it and is a bit yellowish tint. The older one was a rougher texture and was white. All prints are done in draft mode and contain text only...

Canon InkTanks and the Notorious Air in tube issue

Oh. Printed some colour images on Kodak 200gsm photo paper and they turned out fine in Standard mode when printed from the Canon My Image Garden app. Seems like the text+image printout in draft will have banding on copy paper like you said. Also if the print-head was defective or nozzles were...

Canon InkTanks and the Notorious Air in tube issue

Hi. Sorry for bothering you guys again. Well is it normal for draft prints to have some sort of banding? I printed some textbook pages from a pdf and it has some banding. Also I printed one of my silhouette that I made in photoshop that also has banding. But if I print in standard mode the...

Canon InkTanks and the Notorious Air in tube issue

Its not the small bubbles that scare me but the bigger air pockets that scare me. Since this is the first time I bought an InkTank I have no idea about them lol. Even changed my room to put it on a level surface. Btw I twice pressed the tubes to make the bubbles to break up. I hope that won't...

Canon InkTanks and the Notorious Air in tube issue

Printed a 100 page book and the bubble seems to have dissipated for now. Also I pressed that area of the tube to break the air gap a bit and that seems to have removed the airgap somehow. Now only a very tiny air bubble is there. I live in the plains and not in some hilly area. The printer is...
