I CAN have nice things, right?!?! Pulling the trigger on a Bambu Lab H2S

Not bad. Ironically I just watched this great review of it earlier today: Ya, I've wondered about that with the H2D to mix very different types of filaments. Yup, frustrating. I do wish I could easily use Orca Slicer from my PC, etc. Hmm... even with the advanced carbon filters, etc? :(...

I CAN have nice things, right?!?! Pulling the trigger on a Bambu Lab H2S

Ok friends,I've been around and around and around about this forever! I'm usually (at a fault) frugal <cheap> and have a hard time buying the "nice" things. I almost always go for the thing that provides 80% of the value at 50% of the price. For example, I spend a TON of time looking at the...

Go Small or go home :)

It's so fun to see people tinker with stuff like that. In a lot of ways, stuff like this might seem pointless to a lot of people, but they don't realize that this kind of experimentation pushes the envelope and innovation.

Anniversary update on Standard Lamp Mark V..

I totally hear what you are saying! I've definitely watched a lot of videos of people talking about how loud and rumbly a lot of these fast printers can be.

    Multicolour creativity

Yep, the solution to tremendous waste is fantastic. That said, I get nervous about having exponentially more hotends and bits and bobs to potentially fall apart and have problems. I guess if they can prove sustained reliability, then it doesn't matter?

How many of us are still refilling ink cartridges?

The thrift store by where my GF lives (Silicone Valley) has an isle of small sandwich bags of misc. bits they put together and try to sell dirt cheap. There are ALWAY tons of new printer cartridges mixed in with staplers, pens, etc. Even though I don't print with a color inkjet anymore, I...

How many of us are still refilling ink cartridges?

Great question and discussion!! Honestly, I don't refill inkjets anymore... and actually don't even have an active inkjet printer :( (I still have two "new" refurbed Canon i560's in my garage and a box of refill equipment I just can't talk myself into parting with). My only 2d printer is my...

Elegoo Centauri Carbon - REALLY Tempted To Buy

She is one of the best no-nonsense / to-the-point / consistent-process reviewers out there. ... oh, and on her "top printers" list, she has the Qidi PLUS 4 listed as "The best-performing fully enclosed high-speed 3D printer (mid-size)"

Elegoo Centauri Carbon - REALLY Tempted To Buy

I really have so many issues around spending money and buying stuff! 😔 I think there have been maybe a dozen times that I have put this printer in my shopping cart and almost pushed "buy". ... only to question myself: "Do I really need this printer? Is it really that much better than what I...

High Temp PLA - Polymaker HT-PLA

100% agree! After 3 bowden-based printers, and years of not wanting to go to direct-drive, I finally went direct with my Ender 3 V3 SE and QUICKLY became a convert of how much easier it was to load, manage, and unload. I would never go back to bowden. In fact, seeing a lot of the new printers...
