I have a canon pixma 2600 that I've been using with a CISS that I picked up from the U.K. I haven't replaced a printhead for 2 1/2 years. all I've done is refilled the bulk ink tanks when the ink level got to one-half. since installing the system, I've had to boil out the print head using...
Found the problem. Remove four screws in recesses, lift off top carefully. Look to the left where the cartridges park. Two rubber bumpers fell off two plastic posts. They were causing the paper feed mechanism to jam when feeding a sheet of paper.
Printer turns on, does a self test. Print a test sheet, printer makes all kinds of snapping sounds. Paper feeds around back and through area under print heads and gets jammed. Paper rips and error light comes on. Print carriage is free to move either direction.
I have a walmart special at $29.95 that I fitted with a ciss from the UK. I've had the system since April of last year. When ink got low I just refilled the reservoir tank and kept on printing. I had a problem of cross contamination between dye ink and pigment ink so I flushed out the...
That's what I thought. I must've had some HP ink stashed away someplace, but was desperate because I didn't want the tank to run dry so I added the HP ink to the ciss tank. In the long run, I ended up emptying the tank and flushing it out with water, the ink line to the cart and flushed out...
I refilled my yellow ink tank today and noticed some whitish crap that settled out in the bottom of the tank. anybody know what this is? I never noticed it before......
for an oil-less compressor of a sort, use an aquarium air pump. the pressure is constant and at a low enough volumn so as not to blow out the micro holes on the printhead.
I don't know the composition of the HP ink. All I do know is that the cartridge failed to print after I filled the black tank. My printer uses a tri color cartridge and one black cartridge. the inks are dye based because they all "run" when exposed to moisture or rain.
I purchased a CISS from a place in the UK. It performed flawlessly for over a year then started giving problems with the BLACK ink. Images were missing, images were blurry. After a lot of thinking, I had a bottle of ink that I used that must've been pigment based ink. Pigment based and dye...
I have an el cheapo Canon printer from Walmart with a continuous ink system installed. I started a cleaning process to the printheads and noticed the colored inks spray out very nicely, but the black ink just sort of drips out - no spray. Is the head shot?
get into windows, accessories, paint. go to page attributes and choose a size that more/less covers one sheet. then make a large rectangle on the sheet and fill the page with whatever color you want to print. go to page setup and pick print. then un click ALL and choose the next option Page 1...
I bought a "City Ink Express" CISS system. It took two weeks from date of order to delivery of the system. This was from the UK to the United States to New York. I have a Canon Mp160. I needed to make one modification , well actually two for the system to work properly. First I removed the...
I worked for a company in Buffalo New York who bought WD-40 by the barrel. We mixed the WD with very light mineral oil in a ratio of 4 parts WD to 1 mineral oil and used it in an automatic chain oiler on all the bisque lines. The chains went through a gas heated tunnel and glazing spray. NEVER...
I had a pixma ip6000d photo printer - 5 color plus black. after 3 months the printhead clogged and I got streaks and no color. I got a replacement from precision roller co. for 85 dollars. that one only lasted 6 months, they replaced it no charge and THAT stopped working after a month.
I bought a Canon pixma mp 190 and have already gone through the supplied cartridges. I guess they don't put much in those things. New cartridge prices are outrageous! I had a refill kit from Hewlett Packard and refilled those carts I removed. 20ml in the black and 6ml in each color chamber...
