Forgive me, but I know that a lot of times people go to a forum and miss a topic in another catagory-- so here it is again
12 different inks compared for Canon Printers please go to my Inktest Page at

In terms of printers-- its hard to beat...
I found the same thing regarding Canon versus cheapo G&G-- Canon skin was a bit magenta and pink, G&G was actually more accurate.
But its always a trade off, Canon reds are nice and deep, the G&G a tinge less so-- so its all what you want.
I don't know where the Hobbicolors come from, but I...
Okay--
I'm done with my tests

Please see my general pages regarding and comparing the three major print makers- Canon, HP, and Epson.
I have had experience with all, and I've made some general observations about each which remain true.
I do A LOT of printing, and thus, was the inspiration for both my own pages and this...
I just finished testing 7 different aftermarket inks and will be posting the results soon-
The best color matching in general on PREFILLED carts was using G&G ink-- now, having said this, MIS produces slightly better results and is more neutral, providing you are using the bulk ink.
Canon inks...
I just wanted to make sure people are aware of the fact that G&G fixed the leaky cart issue.
I think this is VERY important for eveyone to know, primarily because my recent aftermarket ink cartridge tests showed that the G&G ink is clearly superior in terms of overall use and color accuracy...
One thing to consider is CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have been dealing with Inkgrabber for years, even before they converted to G&G ink- I've always had excellent service from them-- and that is definitely something I cannot say for all internet aftermarket ink and toner supply companies.
I have...

I just did a new comparison of three after market inks, and also address the G&G leaking cart issue

G&G faired well, and they have apparently fixed the leaking cart issue. Whew.
Good...
G&G has quickly addressed and fixed the leaking cart problem.
Good for them, because they seem to make the best cheap ink.

No, because the waste tank full message is a function of how many prints and cleaning cycles you run, and does not actually reflect how much waste ink is in the pad.
BY THE WAY I FIGURED OUT EXACTLY WHAT THE PROBLEM IS
Go here and see

Leaking ink doesn't harm the print head, its just an unecessary mess you have to clean up.
I would know, I've had to do it dozens of times with these carts.
Out of curiosity-- what ALTITUDE do you live at?
I'm in Denver, CO 5280 feet, a mile high-- but this has never been an issue before....
BTW, yes, the Inkgrabber people have been wonderful to do business with- and I HATE like hell to complain about a product they sell-
but at this point, the...
well, I used a tight o ring, and tightened it as much as I dared--
BUT NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT
I tired this primarily on G&G carts, which I am now finding are COMPLETELY CRAP lately
see my web page above- probably this is the leak problem not the o rings!
There should be ZERO ink on the underside of the print head-- I tried the stainless steel screws and 0 rings and quickly abandoned- they all leaked. One person said he uses a hot glue gun successfully, I haven't tried that yet.
Thanks for the other leads.

Glad to read about o rings and screws-- I'll start trying this.
It has been almost impossible to punch out the G&G carts for refill- they use a really stubborn plug to fill, and at least 50% of the time when you punch it out, you can't seal it again--- why didn't I think of o rings!!
If a...
