The reason that I got into refilling ink cartridges was to save money. As a potential customer, could you please tell me why I'd choose to add the cost of a professional refiller AND shipping/handling. :)

Has there been any success with refilling the Canon chipped carts? Is a chip resetter required, as with Epson chipped carts?

I think the problem is grounded in the nature of invention/discovery. Ink formulations are "mousetraps," and the goal in every research & development lab is to build a better mousetrap. Sure it would be nice to precisely match the OEM ink - and to sell it at a substancial savings. But 3rd party...

The Dell printers are slightly different than the Lexmark models. The cartridges are, therefore, NOT cross compatible, to my knowledge.

Great post, Grandad! Having already purchased a box of Classic Pearl for my i9900, I thought it only fair (and technically necessary) to purchase a box of Smooth Pearl for the iP5000. Well, at least that's the story I'm floating at home ;)

Just received a Hobbicolors Kit for my iP5000. I'll be working on a profile using Profile Prism, based on Ilford Clasic Pearl. The kit looks impressive. The virgin cartridges are very well made. A key factor will be the wear and tear of the nylon screw/fill hole, after repeated uses.
