    i9950 Printhead Fouling Paper

My i9950 catches on the leading and trailing edge of photo paper unless I select "prevent printhead abrasion" I've had the head out and investigated the carrier too, all seems fine. On Plain paper there is no issue. Has anyone had similar? Happens on 150gsm-260gsm genuine canon paper or the...

Safe to leave toner cartridge out of a printer once it's opened?

As already suggested - keep the cartridge in the dark. The imaging drum is photo-sensitive and will get ruined quickly if exposed to light. This is not applicable to cartrides without the imaging drum, ie where you have a seperate drum (Brother) but all HP toner carts I know of use a drum...

Damaged Nozzle = 5mm spaced dark lines in photo's

I haven't used the my i9950 for a couple of weeks and although I use refilled cartridges in my MP760 I've only ever stuck to OEM's in this. I really wasn't expecting a problem but if you check out the bottom row of nozzles on the BCi-6BK nozzle check you can see that I have an odd nozzle...

Who Prints Better? Epson or Canon.....

Canon do a thing where you send them the file and they print it and send it back - you can choose which printer you have it printed on so this may give you a good idea of quality

    Epson Ink Interchangeable?

I dont think it will, one uses a plug that is pierced by the printer and then the ink flows, the other has a valve inside that the ink comes through, although the ink inside the two is the same, I dont think it will fit, and making it fit could result in leakage. Dan :)

    canon i9950 won't print C M Y

I do hope the original poster comes back and replies with what the problem was.... all to often people ask for help and then never follow it up.

    canon i9950 won't print C M Y

I had the same issue when I bought my i9950 on ebay for 99p, the CMY wasn't printing. This as Grandad has suggested was caused by the tube coming off the purge unit, the pump that sucks the ink out of the head when cleaning and priming. I popped the cover off and stuck the tube back on the pump...

    Canon Mp760

FYI the print engine in the MP760 is the same as the iP4000 of which there is more info on this site. Basically if it works for the 4000 it will work for the 760. I love my 760 and have generally found the head to be resilient; the key thing to note is that if you ever notice a problem STOP...

    Best inks for waterproof CDs

I think the "waterproofness" depends on the reaction of the ink with the coating on the paper/surface. It may just be a case of experimenting with a few cheap carts untill you get the desired result. Is the coating on the CD smooth or rough like paper? I get better smudge resistance from the...

    Rimage 480i cartridge Alternative?

I believe these use the HP 56 / 57 cartridges or the design is identicle. You will probably find that there is a slight difference in the molding in the cap so that one doesnt fit in the other (same as Dell Branded Lexmark). The Rimage website specifically says that this printer will cost you...

    Strange CD Printing Problem!

If you are getting intermittent colour problems then this points to an ink feed issue i.e its not flowing into the head propperly. To verify this print half an A4 page of solid colour. Make your red more of a magenta colour though (funny that cos the ink is magenta and NOT red) othewise you...

    Canon S9000 Owners

Well, I'm impressed with the speed of an A3 print, having worked with HP's in the past this thing is lightning fast. But the quality isnt great at the moment, there are two nozzels blocked on the Cyan unfortunately in a row so they make for noticable lines in prints. I'm also getting a terrible...
