Hello
I am a new owner of a canon pro-100 and love it. My question is I am confused as to how to migrate to a precision color system. I currently only have one set (original) carts which are in the printer. I don't feel confident enough to replace the chips onto pre flushed carts. I was going to purchase a new set of OEM carts and wait till my original set gets low before ordering precision color ink to use in my current carts. Do I actually nee a set of pre flushed carts or can I rely on two of the OEM carts with precision color ink kit?

Thank you

Hi @Chuck Gaffan and welcome, you may be new to the Pro 100 and refilling, but I reckon you’ve nearly got everything right, your idea of two sets of OEM’s will work perfectly, except for the yellow carts, so get two CLI-8 flushed carts with your first ink order and swap the chips over when you need too ..

The Chip swap is a breeze and can be done easy...

Thank you, I'll give it a try. What if I buy OEM yellow carts can they be used along side the PC carts?

You can continue to use OEM carts and ink a long side PC inks, but that could get expensive if your printing a lot, you could also run the yellow cart dry and then purge all the ink out of it using Windex and then refill, chip swapping is easier them pulling the refill ball out of a cart...
