Accidentally I came across a patent application by L'Oreal to use inkjet printing to apply make-up onto the skin

Doesn't that look unnecessarily complex? Why not just use a compressor and a paint spray gun? As far as I know that is exactly what is done already?

Interesting information about the ink base. Now I know how to make a clear ink base for bubblejet printers and use it to dilute magenta and cyan ink to make photo magenta and photo cyan

spray guns are used to apply the fake sun tan but wouldn't let you apply any patterns - how about a tattoo printer ? But I'm not sure yet how to get the pigments under the skin for permanency........

I reckon the inkjet idea was too complex for some of these girls, any way some of them use a pallet knife to spread it on, well it certainly looks like that...

Actually, the use of an air brush for applying fine cosmetics is VERY common.

We've been using it for millennia in the UK. It's called WOAD.

thanks, those dyes will let me make another round of fading tests......next year ... probably ....
