Pro-100 cd printing slightly off center, any tips?

Hi, I'm having trouble getting my cd prints exactly centered. The closest I've gotten is using Canon's EasyPhoto Print EX but it's still about a millimeter off.

Are there any tricks to getting this right? I've tried other software apps like Belight Disc Cover, Acoustica, SureThing Disk Labeler Deluxe and AudioLabel and I can't get any of them to print dead center.
Can this actually be done or am I just a moron?

May depend on the program you are using to print on the CD.

I use a real simple little utility called CD-Labelprint. I am able to adjust the print position as shown on the screen image below

As you can see it allows increment of 0.1 of a mm. I would consider that feature essential given that the plastic CD holder feed is not adjustable.

Thanks Roy for the suggestion. I tried that app but I have full face disks that print all the way to the 15mm hole, CD-Labelprint doesn't go that far.

When I had an iP6700D printer I used photoshop and I could get the print exactly centered. It's been so long I've forgotten how I figured out the offsets. Does anyone here use PS to print cds?

CD Label Print can also print full face disks, but you will have to define a new disk format yourself.

Edit: I have just checked CD Label Print, and the max. and min. settings in a user defined disk format, for outer and inner diameter are 118mm and 17mm, so you will have to use another CD printing program.

I’ll be making a Archive CD shortly and just for the hell of it I’ll try using Photo Shop to do it, I have never used anything other than CD Label print so it will be interesting, I’ll report back even if I make a balls of it..

I have used Photoshop to make images/labels for disks using a PS template but did not use PS to print on the disk. Instead, I've used Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker with excellent results.

Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker should work for you as well. Acoustica lists the Canon Pro-100 as supported on their web site. The app works for me with my Canon MP830 and there is a selection for full hub printing to facilitate the process. The same should be available for you. You may need to adjust Left/Right and Up/Down ranges to dial in a centered image printed on the disk. It is possible to print without overspray but a little overspray on clear plastic of the disk can be wiped away with a tissue.

I recommend Acoustica for its ease of use but you should be able to accomplish what you want with other apps as well. If you decide to use Acoustica again then I can help guide you further.

OK I tried to use Photo Shop and Illustrator to print directly onto the CD surface and failed, the printer wont except the CD tray, however there was no problem using either Applications with CD label sheets for 100% coverage and with no image peeping.

I much prefer to print straight to the CD which only leaves a small white peep in the centre hole.

Old thread, I know, but...

This program is what I use, too.
It's easy to use, very intuitive, allows you to make tons of adjustments to disc print,
image brightness/contrast, placement on disc, etc.
Easy to save label creations to use later, too, including with embedded images.
Works to create and print CD/DVD/Blu-Ray/SlimCD/all sorts of stuff:
Discs, covers, inserts, disc labels, etc.

Allows sub-millimeter adjustment of print output to disc and labels,
and offers plenty of printer and popular label settings, as well as
setting up your own of everything. Well worth the price if you do this much.
