Pleased to find this group. I am trying to revive an old Canon Pro-1 printer, (mine since new) which for various reasons I haven’t been able to use for some time. It is only on its third set of inks, but is giving me the 8 flashes error sequence, implying that the absorber pads are full. This is not physically possible with this level of usage so I would really like to revive it, if only to finish off the newish batch of inks that remain. It looks like I need the v3400 service tool (I tried a later version but it doesn’t work).
I would appreciate any help to find a working version!

If you are correct in your assumption that you do have the 8 blinking LEDs, then Press and hold the Resume Button and the error will cease and you can carry on with your normal work. BUT if your wrong…

Check again and see if both Alarm and Power LED lights are flashing (8), and if that is the case then there is no more you can do for the printer, your print head has developed an Electrical issue and is beyond saving..

Here is the service tool v3400 if it helps, (please note) change the extension back to zip before use,
