Hi folks. I got code 1700 on my IP8750 today.
I can only find guides on how to reset the error but nothing about how to change the pads?
Anyone that could tell me what the part number is for them or where they are located ?
Big thanks in advance.
Best!

Sadly no service manual and parts catalog for your printer can be found on the web. But druckerchannel.de has an instruction for changing the absorbers on the A4 iP7250 that looks similar to the iP8750. Maybe that instruction will be useful?

You may also find this thread about resetting the absorber counter useful.

Sadly I don't know the parts numbers of the absorbers and if and where they can be bought.

Peter. Thanks for your kind help.
I did take it apart yesterday. It was not easy and the plastic was hard to figure out how to bend.
After a few hours I managed to get to the bottom and I took out the tubes and make a waste ink bottle instead.
Puuh. This was way harder than on my old Epson :D
Thanks again for all help.
best.

Well done ! :clap

Out of curiosity how well did the iP7250 disassembly instruction match the larger iP8750?

Thanks Peter!
I did not check that one out until now :)
It was similar pads and the side panels disassembly where similar.
The rest of the disassembly was not similar at all.
I had to lift out the whole printer house out of the plastic.
Very hard to take of the plastic.
Good part was that you could lift out the printer plastic was removed and 6 screws where loose.
I should have taken photos but my gloves broke and I couldn't touch my phone. =/
In the end I would recommend everyone with this printer to just take out the 2 hoses and put them to a waste ink bottle instead. Less work and easier for the future than replacing the absorbers.
