what is the problem ? Those 300 MB are the pixelized data for 38 pages, that's not much. The PDF file does not store pixels but the letters as Truetype fonts (or similar) and picture data is compressed. The driver is converting that into a pixel stream which is sent to the printer. You are printing apparently with a rather low resolution/quality. Just calculate the amount of data for one page - with 300 dpi on a 8x11 inch sheet - that's 8x300x11x300x3 for 3 colors ~ 24 MB, probably a little bit less deducting borders, and this is the amount of data per page.
How is yur printer connected to the computer ?
which means what - the printer is connected to an USB connection at a network router which runs some print server functionality ? Or via a shared printer on another computer ? How long is the USB cable ? Can you try to connect the printer directly to a PC-Notebook whatever with a short USB cable and run the same print job ?usb & network
