Ah, yes, well, been reading about them for ages, never seen one so have bought one.
Why?, don't know yet, will no doubt find out when I've built it. That appeals to me more than actually printing anything at the moment.
I have no interest in creating toy elephants, pink or any other colour.
If I can print useful things ( I will need to get my head around some CAD software for that) then I shall be well pleased.
I've usually design and build things by the measure twice, cut once, throw away and start again method.
I've managed to design and build automated coffee roasters, a/d converters (in the 'old' days these were hugely expensive to buy (Apple IIe a bygone era))., automatic gates, and quite a few bits of calibration equipment (in the days of transistors and electronic components you could see.
So, now its plastic and filaments, fire extinguishers and fume extraction.. we will see.
Anyway, greetings to one and all, especially the 3DP freaks especially the Anet 3DP freaks, especially the Anet A2 3DP freaks (for freaks read enthusiasts).

Nice video @stratman, you reckon, I nearly fell asleep watching the Feckin thing, this guy goes about things arse about face, his No.1 tip is last, and it should be the first, because if you fail on this step then you’re going nowhere..:smack

Did you get a bad batch of bathtub gin again? It was a countdown to number one type of list that even yer dog could understand. :tongue

I agree it was not the most exciting YouTube to watch. The first version he made of this video started with his #1 tip but it also was several minutes longer. :barnie You should be thanking me. :hugs

well, to update progress on the A2 ... very little.
Drove up north 46 miles to pick it up, actually drove 62 miles 'cause the Sat Nav died on me (portents of things to come?)
Finally collected box of bits, got home and was requested to fix the gutters on the summerhouse.. end to joy.
OPENED THE BOX - PROGRESS. Request submitted to spray the summerhouse with wordworm glue... joy oh joy.
Tomorrow.. but the grass is getting long (perhaps the joy of my life wont notice ?
I will get around to at least reading the assembly instructions, hopefully before Santa comes.

Yes, that would be a good idea, sit with him and have a few beers and show off your latest toy, he won’t have a clue about 3D printers either...:hu
Women just don’t understand, it’s a man thing to be able to fiddle with bits...
