"United Office" is a Lidl brand. Lidl is a German discount supermarket chain that operates in many European countries. The photo paper is the Sihl Quick dry glossy 280 gsm. The paper is normally offered at a bargain price once or twice a year in the countries Lidl are present in.

My brother bought several packs of this paper a couple of years ago and gave me some. I didn’t expect much for the cheap price but I had to say that it surprised me for good, because it makes beautiful prints, comparable to brand papers costing three times more, but ( and it’s a big but), this paper fades faster than ice under tropical sunlight. Never seen anything like this before.

I did a test hanging side by side in a wall of a room where no direct sunlight ever reached the prints, two identical copies made with my Pro9000 and my current third party ink. One copy printed on Epson Premium glossy photo paper and the other on Lidl United office,

In two or three days the United office print showed visible fading of the cyan inks and, to a lesser extent, the blacks too, while the print on Epson paper looked as good as new.

In two weeks the fading on the lidl paper was so bad that I threw away the print in disgust. In contrast, another print on this paper which has been kept in the dark in a box still looks fine several months later.

I don’t know if it’s the UV rays or the oxidants in the air but this paper can’t be left unprotected hanging on the wall. Maybe putting it under glass or using OEM ink would tell a different story but, just in case, I’m not buying it anymore, no matter how cheap they sell it.

the fading performance is never an issue of the paper alone but can only be judged and tested in combination with a particular inkset, but yes, the Lidl paper, identical with the Aldi/Sihl paper is not the best in terms of fading, there are other papers, more expensive, with better performance. I did some extensive testing in this respect , please see this thread

And be aware, there are many more papers on the market , more expensive , but of a lower (cast coated) quality as presented in other postings.
The papers - by Sihl and Netbit - offered by the discounters Aldi and Lidl in various European countries - have been reviewed and commented here in detail in several threads. It is overall a good compromise paper for 10ct/sheet, but if you need particular better performance parameters you have the choice with lots of other suppliers - mostly at higher prices
