What I thought was funny is the part about "ink vending machine", cause it can sure seem that way, especially if you purchase OEM cartridges. Maybe "ink one-armed bandit (slot) machine" would be funnier and as true.

The slot machine absorbs part of your money. The printer absorbs part of your ink. Hopefully the pay back percentage is better for the printer.
