If they're inexpensive enough, get them for the chips and bump the chips onto the CLI-8. That is the less expensive way to get a second set of carts.

I asked for a quote and yes, that is what I would use them for.
Could not take a chance running refillables on my precious PRO-100!

But aren’t you going to use a redsetter for your CLI-42 chips,
so why would you want to use ARC's.

I’d only use ARC chips if there was no other alternative and for my PGI-29 chips there isn’t a hope in hell of a redsetter any time soon,
so I am hopefull of getting some new ARC's very soon.. :)

I plan to use those chips on CLI-8 carts during testing of the PC and others that may be coming down the pike.
Besides, this may just be another Bait & Switch.

MORE BS from China companies falsely posting products that do not actually exist!!!!
ALIBABA needs to ban these people from their site.

No problem. There is a resetter! But I really needed these chips just to set up cli-8 sets with them to test inks.

Epson, Canon, HP... A "few"
I've got a standing query in for cartridge recycling on the CLI42 empties so hopefully that will help but given the number of Pr-100's in the UK vs the USA I'd say you'd have more chance through sources your side of the pond.

Other thing to consider is that the third party chips might not have been compatible with the resetter anyway.

Either way, agree with your sentiment.. They should be putting finding some other way to gauge interest.

It was clearly a case of False Advertisement! They show what appears to be a set of 8 carts upside down showing chips on them. Then they tell you that the "CHIPS" are "Very Rare"! No SH*T!!!
They are being advertised as ARC on refilliables!!!!!!!
Any way I give up.
I will have to look for Empties to reset here locally.

No disagreement here at all... Having recently experienced something similar I can only note that it's incredibly frustrating for all concerned to see anyone faking it for their own ends.

When you are Chatting with someone with a clearly assumed English first name, and you ask a specific question, you get the answer to a question that you NEVER even asked!
Eventually you either put a gun to your head or you finally get them to admit that they don't really have what they advertising! WOW!!!! Really?
