One would think that after all this years they'd have learned to do things properly but they’re becoming worse and worse.
If it isn’t broke then Microsoft will somehow Fubar it, and that’s nearly a guarantee, it’s about the only thing they have perfected.. :fl

Some of us believe that trusting Microsoft`s software developpers is far more risky than refilling any printer. :D
I’m resigned to update soon but not looking forward to. Right now, the OS wants me to install 1903, skipping 1809. Let’s see what happens. Probably I’ll spend two-three days “cleaning” the debris of the battle and wiping the ‘winold’ folder.
I’m not worried about not being able to go back if something goes wrong, I have backups of the C: disk which can be restored in a few minutes.
Long gone are the days of Windows 7, that let your computer ran undisturbed for years without asking for updates of dubious utility.

I can't complain with the updates including the version updates to 1909 on 5 different computers, all went w/o any hiccups - am I the only one ?

As said, first time I have an issue.
But my printer drivers were really a big mess, it is possible this misleaded the OS update somewhere.
After dumping 7 printers in the recycling park, no need to keep the drivers.
Some where not officially supported by WIN10 too.

Strange that reinstalling the remaining 3 printers did not solved the problem.
After removing the 1909 update the error persisted, but was cleared after 10 minutes.
Maybe I had to wait longer and 1909 would have corrected itself after the driver cleanup.
