I'm contemplating converting my Epson 1400 to pigment and I'm trying to figure out which pigment inks I should use.
I know that Cone and Inkjetfly have pigment inksets for that printer, but those are also a lot more expensive than what I am willing to spend (taking into account the shipping/import taxes as well). Also I'd like to avoid IS ink, since the gloss is very bad.
So I'm trying to find the most appropriate ink made by OCP. I'll probably also replace their weak Photo Black and Magenta with the more cost-effective 250ml from inkrepublic, so the question is;
would it be possible to use the Cyan and Yellow from the R2000 OCP inkset (which I also own) and the Light Cyan/Magenta from the OCP inkset for the 3800 and complete the set with the IRK4-nano Photo Black and Magenta from Inkrepublic?
Is anybody else using K3 equivalent ink in their 1400 succesfully? (I'll create custom profiles for any combination obviously).
