Hi
I have a the brother mfc-465cn printer and I would like to buy some ink for it. I been searching around and found a possible places that I might buy from. I like them since there already prefilled since I hate filling them myself and I rather pay a bit more. The following is the sites what I am looking at, how much they would cost me and pros and cons that I have identified. There maybe lots more pros and cons but these are the ones I can think off.
Store1: 123inkjets.ca http://www.123inkcartridges.ca/brother-ink-cartridge/LC51_Value_Pack.html
Price(for 4 carts): $15.39CAD
TAX + shipping: about $6CAD
Total: $21.11CAD
Pros: I have bought ink from them before but I can not say how good the quality was since my printer was already on the verge of death and I was just trying to get the maxium life out of the printer. It however did not break the printer anymore then it was before I used the inks
. They have a 1 year policy what they actually honor(I used it when my printer finally died and I have a unused yellow ink from them left). The carts also look like they hold more then the Genuine carts since they all hold 22mls where I think color is about 10 to 15mls(black is the same though). It also looks like the carts might be see through so you can see how much ink is actually left.
Cons: This ink seems to be littered all over the internet with people selling it super cheap so I am not sure how good the quality actually is. I also know when I printed something out with there canon i560 ink it had this weird toxic smell that sort of smelled like varnish or alcohol that would disappear after awhile.
Store2: ink.manufactor(ebay seller) http://cgi.ebay.ca/6PK-INK-for-BROT...39:1|66:2|65:12|240:1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
price(6 carts -3 black): $20.00CAD
TAX + shipping : Free shipping
Total: $20.00CAD
Pros: Very cheap price. Your getting 6 carts with 3 of them being black and one of each color. They on top of it are high capacity with 37ml each and are clear so you can see how much ink is left. Then you get free shipping on top of it.
Cons: Might be very bad quality and might not be worth it if the ink just destroys the printer. I emailed the seller about where the ink was made and if it could destroy the printer but no reply yet. Email was send out about a week ago.
Store3: inkjetsuperstore.ca http://www.inkjetsuperstore.ca/BROTHER-LC51BK-ink-cartridge-Compatible
price(4 carts): $16,96CAD
shipping: $5.95
Total: $23.03
Pros: One flat shipping rate and they have a year warrently on all there carts. They also offer warrenity that if you can prove that the ink destroyed the printer they will cover up to $250 of repairs or for a new printer. So they must be confident that there ink won't cause damage.
http://www.inkjetsuperstore.ca/customer-service/warranties
Cons: Slow email response, Site was filled with miss information leading people to believe that there compatible carts where made by the OEM manufacture when they where not. However since I pointed this out they have updated there site and corrected these mistakes. However I still dont' know where they are made.
Store4: inkanda.net http://www.inkanada.net
Price(4 carts): $15.60
Tax + shipping: $4.87
Total: $20.47
Pros. They claim there ink is made and assembled in the USA so I am guessing that mean higher quaility?
cons: There site sucks and to add all the carts to you need to do about 10clicks.

Store 5: Local refilling stores
There are 3 re-fill stores in my area I only visted one of them but basically it is about $7.50/cart of color and $10/car for black. If I bring all 4 of them in then they all with cost $7.50/cart.
Pros: In the area and they say they use high quality ink that was made for my printer.
Cons: More expensive and I will never really get that deal since once one cart runs out then they all stop. So If have like 2 carts that are still half full and I print them all ink to get that deal I probably will loose money in the end.
So which one should I go for?
