Where did my ink go when refilling a virgin cartridge?

Yes Thrilla there was some posts about sealing the vent maze with your finger or tape etc but I think quite a few people are happy when top filling to fill just above 3/4 & live more of a dull life.

I forgot about the equator. No wonder you've got ink in the vents. :D

Interesting that 3/4 full works. :D

Actually, it looks like 3mL was too much. I filled the syringe with 5mL, and maxed out the tank well before I emptied it. It looks like the sponge is saturated, because several days later none of it seems to be missing. I guess I'll fill the other virgin cartridges with about 7.5mL.
