Just curios: what's with the name 'nifty stuff'?

Why not 'inkjetandrefillforum.com'?
Surely there MUST have been a more meaningful domain name still available!?

Click on the nifty-stuff.com link at the top left of this page and you'll see that there is a lot more nifty stuff than just printers.

i've just spent 10+ min reading other parts
there's some amazingly useful info - disneyland and solar panels caught my eye
(damn, just came back from disney 3 weeks ago! i needed that article then!)
BUT: given the amount of traffic nifty-stuff gets, i'd say it out numbers the other content by 999 to 1?
or maybe i'm missing something?

EDIT: i'd be interested to know how many people behind the website
EXTRA EDIT: would love to know something they'll never tell - how much money they make - serious question!! :)

as I recall, Rob had the Nifty-Stuff forum before adding the inkjet forum to the link. I assume that he used the same software (which has been updated and changed several times) and simply added the inkjet/printer forum to it. He has only taken on advertising pretty recently, and if he is really earning anything from it, more power to him! he has done so much work and put in so many hours that he probably has made less than ten cents an hour for his efforts - if that. I have been on forums that charge participants annualy, and those are also not really making any money for the people who maintain it as they spend an inordinate amount of time for the benefit of the participants.
