There is this saying; Never use universal inks for your printer cos there are formulated differently, but stratitec universal ink has differed the odd.

I have used their ink on two different brands of printers that is the canon MG5220, IX4000 and MX870 and the HP DESIGNJET 130. It didn't have problems with any of the printers. Solid prints on all printers including great photos.

I run a photolab here in Nigeria and we get the highest number of enlargements in town. Probably approximately 80-100 enlargements on a daily average and the Stratitec ink has shown to be up to the competition. The other competitors use oem ink. Compared to inks from printpayless, Inksupply which i have used, I see no difference.

I prefer stratitec universal ink because of the two different brands of printers i have in the photolab. It is easy to refill all brands from one source to using inks from different sources.
I am planning of getting a brother inkjet printer for volume color prints of our photo wallets. It will be cost effective as it does not need a chip resetter.

At times as it is said experience is the best teacher.
