Anybody who is thinking of changing or getting a new printer soon should take a serious look at the Canon 9500;
its steel at the moment with one store doing a deal at $125 Wow.

A set of new cartridges on this side of the pond would cost more than that
but all in all its a real smashing printer that wont let you down.

I have mine over 3 years and its never had a clogged print head to date despite what they say about pigment inks
being notorious for clogging up, not to mention the easiest filled cartridge on the scene today.
Go on and do yourself a favour get two, nice and early for Christmas.. :thumbsup

Bet there will not be any such bargains in the UK. I expect Rodbam in Aus. has to pay pretty high for Canon products.

I suppose the USA is such a huge market for them that Canon can afford these clearance sales.

For what it's worth there appear to be quite a few Pro 9500's going on eBay, etc... as barely used and at prices around the 180 - 250 mark. Definitely worth getting a feel for the seller, market, etc... before jumping in, but having gone this route myself and snapping up a good unit it's worth considering.

Oh and Canon have a 100 cashback offer open until end of the month (October 2012 - for Pro 9500 only)..

The better the product, the fewer the so-called sales.
I'd sooner buy a $200 printer with ink consumption of $10 annually than a $100 unit consuming $50 in ink..

The B&H price for the Pro9500 Mark II is $199 after rebate. The Pro9500 is no longer available.

I imagine their instant deals are just that and are snapped up quickly.
When it comes to some of these massive discounts I think its a matter of the early bird getting the worm.

There are CISS systems (All dye) out there for the 9500 but youd want to be crazy to even consider using one on the printer..:(
