I would not even know how to approach this. But yes, it is much better already

Although this does not touch the parts of the app that you are most concerned about I just wanted to mention what is changed in 3.8.0 Beta so far:

-new file handling where we drop the pre- and suffixes and instead use a folder structure. Claude said this would be much saver and result in better file naming. In each „session“ folder is a readme that tells you where you can find the important files in the folder structure
-averaging measurements as requested by Alan. When enabled the succes pop up windows in the measure tab give you additional options to read the patches again and you can then average the measurement
-merging of the preconditining measurements with the measurments of the final chart. Not confident in this one really as it feels like hacking but it is there
-new tools icon in the header. Since we already use Argylls average and txt2ti3 and Claude thought of a way to convert ti1 files into files suited for i1Profiler I added simple GUIs for those tools so you can use them on any file you want.

Maybe a possibility to convert cgat and i1profiler pxf files into argyllcms ti1 too ? This way I can convert the Tc918 target into argyllcms more effectively.

Can you send me some example files via email and tell me what the corresponding filetype for argyll would be so I can let Claude compare them? The rest should be pretty easy

@itsab1989,

I have sent you some ti1-cgat-pfx file combination that Claude can have a look at: I have some very interesting i1Profiler pxf-files (patch sets) that I want to convert to ArgyllCMS ti1 files in order to be available in ChromIQ.

Many thanks already,

Nelson

Want to add an additional thing and then upload a new beta. You have to test this because I lack the knowledge to figure out whether it is good or not.

It is online:

https://github.com/itsab1989/ChromIQ/releases/tag/v3.8.0-beta.15

I disabled the TC9.24 targets for now. I think I will make this the new stable release soon if there are no mayor issues.

Edit: Conversion is not working that good. Trying to improve

Edit2: have a better version now but in the process I noticed that some options for targen were still missing although I let Claude check targens documentation multiple times already…

Beta 16 is better. Conversion is much improved and more targen options for you to play with (can't save them as default or preset for now. I hit 100% usage limit and wanted to get this out instead of waiting longer until the reset. Look for a beta 17 before downloading in case this is already fixed before you read this post):

I am aware that this is not as sophisticated as what you did. I just had not seen your post and did not know how you approached this. But I thought I could at least start with the implementation by doing it this way.
But I still don't know how you produce the second target because somehow it sounds to me like you completely avoid targen in the second run and create the optimized values yourself.
Targen is indeed completely avoided. I create my own .ti1 file for the second set.
