Thanks for the tip, i'll keep it in mind but I've never had any problems so far. But i'm searching for the best mix to improve the magenta color.

I'll keep you guys posted if and when it clogs.

:| I think you misunderstood what I said about mixing third party inks together.
You seem to be having a problem with just the shade of the magenta.
Whatever brand name ink that you use its important that the cyan, magenta and yellow are of the same make; otherwise the colour balance is altered.
So if you change only one of the colours in the C/Y/M mix then everything chances.

I also mixed the yellow and cyan in the same way. To prevent a difference in consistency or to prevent other effects which I can not predict beforehand.

I have to point that I have been mixing the black ink from brand "A" and "O" for about 8 months now and I have never had any problems what so ever. The only variable here is the distilled water I used but I don't recon that will affect it too much.
If it messes up my cart, then I'll toss it out and buy a new one. The nozzles are in the cart and not the printer itself.

Anyway if I never try I will never learn, a stern warning from the experts is always welcom but you can only learn new things by trying.

Seeing how the problem is a 'apparantly' too concentrated cyan, would diluting the cyan help at all?

Does anybody have any experience with diluting ink?

No, you don't want to "make" your own inks by diluting.
