That does sound like a bit of over kill to me. Keep eating into the profits :)

The straigt blue tape works well for me. I'm sure on carts that have a more 'sensitive'? i'd use the silicon tape thingy to keep it from getting mashed up in transport.

Hey I'm sure it works out good on your carts.

I just tried that spray method today to seal some lexmark carts and didn't get ideal resulets (Ink dripped in the side of the print head channel and would mix)

Any advice on those or is that just the nature of the beast or do I need better clips etc? (have none right now just a thumb and a vise and a dream)

I will say that I use a -very- fine and light mist. The droplets don't gather together on the nozzle plate, looking more like a fogged mirror.

When does the ink drip? Before or after applying tape or clip?

After I wrote my above emails, I went to Ink Process USA's site and read his articles. Very good, one of them is all about taping and why it does or doesn't work. You have to register, it just takes your name and email address.
