Hi all,

I am still looking to download a version of the canon reset tool st4905 or newer. Can anyone share a link of where this might be available? Or does anyone have a copy they are willing to send me?

Many thanks,

Matt.

I tried to search for free downloads of the service tools v4905 and v5103. The download sites I found all looked very suspect.

Maybe the best solution is to buy a version 5103 from Ebay? Here is an offer at 6GBP or around 7.65 USD. There is even a newer version 5204 that seems to work with probably all newer Canon printers. It is more expensive though at 25 USD.

Thanks for the reply - yeah it seems to me that the only way to get this is to buy it!

Some years ago I bought a service tool v5204 at eBay. After having completed the purchase I received a mail with a download link. The download contained two programs, the service tool and an activation program. Running the activation program created a hardware hash that I mailed to the seller. I then received an activation code I inserted in the service tool that was now functional. This was to lock the service tool to one computer.

Service tool v5204 is now replaced by newer versions and no longer available. Instead you find newer versions at eBay. I'm sure the tool also works with the G3470 printer as other G3400 series printers are listed as compatible.

But if you need to reset the ink absorber counter in the Canon G3470 you might not need a service tool. Instead a button press procedure might be used. See this thread and this.
