:) Hi,

I’ve run into a bit of a decision point regarding the measurement conditions for printer profiling—M0, M1, or M2.

For those of you who have created custom ICC profiles for dye-sublimation printers such as the Canon SELPHY CP1500, how do you approach this?

Do you generally stick with M1, or have you found that a particular measurement condition produces better color reproduction—for example, closer agreement with the ColorChecker 24 reference values?

I’d be very interested to hear about your experience and any recommendations you may have.

Thanks in advance!

Stick with M1, unless you are putting the prints under museum glass that is completed filtering out UV-light combined with a lighting that has no UV-light in it (for which you can use M2). The CP1500 paper has OBA and this needs to be taken into account in the profile measurement for standard looking conditions, thus: M1.
