Hi,
I'm trying to track down a length of 2.4mm ID, 4mm OD silicone tubing to replace a damaged (read: split) waste ink drain hose in a C86 printer. Does anyone happen to know of a supplier for this stuff? I've already tried model aircraft fuel hose -- it's got the right inner diameter, but the overall (outer) diameter is too large to allow it to be routed through the drain pump.
A quick look on ebay turned a blank..
Basically, the hose was clogged when I got the printer, so I used a syringe and needle to force alcohol through the pump to clean it. Big mistake. I slipped, and the $#%!ing needle went straight through the outside of the hose. I thought I'd fixed it (with a bike repair kit and PTFE tape -- LOL) but the repair didn't last. Evidently it's time for a new drain hose...
Thanks,
Phil.
