Refuilling Lexmark's Nos 4 and 5

Hi,

I understand that refilled nos 4 and 5 will not be recognised by the printer (Lexmark Z 2390).

Can anyone recommend a method of getting around this problem.

PS. As a matter of interest, I would be interested in viewing and understanding the circuitry involved.

your correct 4 and 5 cant be refilled no way around it unfortunatly, 4a and 5a carts can be refilled no other carts will fit this printer. As far as im aware Lexmark have introduced a use and return programme for their ink machines just like there laser. The non return carts have a fusable wire which burns out once the cartridge is empty, the return programme carts do not have this function and so can be refilled.
