My mother-in-law has a MP210 which she has run with compatible cartridges so far. Having just started refilling my Canon I was wondering if I could do the same for her printer. So the questions are:
1. Can I use the (IS) ink for my IP4500 in her CL-41 and PG-40 cartridges.
2. If so can the printer ink monitoring system be reset to recognise full cartridges again. Being an 84 year old she relies on her PC telling her when to change cartridges!

Thanks for your help

Why not just use OEM cartridges so that she is not bothered with the trouble of refilling? At 84 she would be happier to just stick to OEM cartridges. Unless she prints a lot or you can take care of her printer all the time it's probably a good idea to stay away from refilling. Just my opinion of course.

It would be myself that would do the refilling etc. It's the knowing when the cartridge is empty issue that would not work for her. On reflection we have decided to just get some replacement cartridges and be done with it. As you inferr Leo, peace of mind is worth a lot at that age.
