In Canon cartridges (left) you can drill a hole on top of the ink chamber, fill with ink, plug it and you're good to go. You can do the same procedure with the XL version of HP cartridges.
BUT, as you can see in the picture, there is no point in refilling the hp920 cartridge (small capacity) with "the exact same procedure I use for my Canon". After you've done your refill of the ink chamber there will be ink there, but it will just stay in the ink chamber, it will not reach the sponge.

That's a very good illustration on these two HP cartridges, now even I know the difference.
Thanks Tudor.. :thumbsup

This difference also applies to HP364 - HP364XL and HP564 - HP564XL. These cartridges are all identical as far as I know, except that I think the 920's are larger.

Hi everybody,
I found this post on google when looking for ways to refill my HP 6500A plus printer.
My printer has 920xl cartridges.
I found this product on e-bay - DIY Ink refill kit for HP 920 920XL ink cartridge XL (can't put a link because i'm a new member)

Can someone tell me if it is recommended for my printer?

Thanks,
