Ink Starvation!!!! I smell the print head burning up from here!
Why in the world are using a CISS on a CANON Printer anyway????

you may try a higher quality setting, and change the paper selection to matte/inkjet, it could help somewhat. But the ink drop out may be as well a sign that the printhead is reaching soon the end of his useful lifetime.
Please post a nozzle check as well.

Thats what mine looked like when the CISS was installed...
I would kick the CISS to the curb....

Hopefully the head isnt fubar'd....

that would be easy to test - deinstall the CISS and run a test with a different set or original cartridges

It’s a classic case of ink starvation, the cyan cartridge has inadequate ink flow end of story, and the CISS unit will need a complete maintenance check or even replacement, please don’t to continue to print without first correcting this problem..
