In my experience €150-200 is a correct price for a low page second hand printer.
The guy is selling it because he doesn't print enough.
I would have bought it myself if I didn't have two already ;) .

I once loaded my car with 8 printers for the recycling park. Don't find the photo ...
Got them for free, or 10 or 20 €, took the good printhead from a cheap model to place in a high end from the same series and provided friends and family.
Stopped all this.
Oh yes, my daughter sent me a mail an hour ago with two shipping labels to print, could it be her printer broke down ?

It's totally manufacturers fault! :D they end the support for many printers too soon and you end up buying more printers as backup :(

IMO the manufacturer did a very good job, this printer is almost indestructible.

Just in case, you can still buy replacement printheads (the only "support" that counts), and for a long time since the successor PRO-300 uses the same.
And you will be able to provide your own lifetime support yourself by acquiring a service tool to reset the waste ink counter.
Since there is always a chance of hardware failure, as a precaution I bought a reserve indeed.

PS: Contrary to the predecessor PRO-9500(II), I never heard of someone who had to replace a PRO-10 printhead or had the waste pads full (and the printer dates from 2013). FYI I bought one with 2500 pages and the waste pads were half full (D=048).

My comment was in general about the fact people stash printers not specifically for the pro 10 that is a very good printer.

Even if I'm interested more in the 100S because I love dye inks and glossy medias.

I only tried to justify my addiction ;).

I loved dye inks and glossy prints too, but abandoned because refill dyes fade too fast.
The PRO-10 with CO (gloss optimiser) is a huge step in the right direction, I can live very well with it since the pigment inks (also 3th party) last much longer.

I see, regarding fast fading actually I have various prints done with refilled dye that are lasting a bit and the prints I do are not intended to stay hanged on the wall so is not a big issue for me. Curious if someone did a comparative between various dye refills tho.
