Hi,

I was looking at this model http://matchpitch.moe-bleichner.com until I found out it is out-of-production. It's a clever device that allows you to adjust the length of the barrel instantly and accurately just by turning the barrel. The actual clarinet does not turn, only the apparently double reverse threaded mechanism inside. It has to be perfectly sealed with zero leakage and easily cleanable (lots of saliva inside a woodwind).

There are a number of these available but this one is 3D printed. Anyone know if this has been done elsewhere or how to get a printed one? Would it be simple to throw a personalized name on it?

I know zero about 3D printing.

All the best
Alan

Very interesting. Bummer it isn't available anymore.

If there are 3D files out there (like on Thingiverse) it would be relatively easy to have it modified to have a name added to it.

Thanks Nifty, I agree it's a bummer. They must have gone out of business but it seems like such a simple business. You get an order print it up. There is other brands but they are 2 to three times the price.
