Printing 18 inch papers in 17 inch 4880 printer

I have a 4880 printer. I want to print on a sheet to fill in 18x24 frame. The frame opening is a bit under 18 inches. I am not planning to print edge to edge and am planning to leave wide margins. Would I be able to feed a sheet a bit wider than 17 inches through the printer? Thanks in advance.

Just do a test, take 2 regular sheets of paper and tape them together to get it 18" wide, and try to feed it into your printer, I would expect mechanical limits in the printer mechanism, and the sensor for the paper width will report an error as well.
