Hi folks,

I am refering to several of your posts. They helped me a lot!

Now I see that the Canon Pro 9000 Mark II is Dye ink, I believed it was like the Pro 9500 Mark II and only in the Canon web site I looked at, we only see in the 9000 specs that Chromalite100 is Dye ink.

About Epson, only by looking de Discontinued 1400 specs I can see that Claria ink is Dye.
So then is the Astisan 1430.

About the Canon i510, I suppose you were talking about the ipF5100. There is no other model available in my region. (Canada) From what I see here, it is Lucia Pigment ink.

So, I will give a try to Canon Pro 9000 Mark II and Epson Astisan 1430.

If anybody knows if there is a Lucia, Lucia EX, UltraChrome K3 or Ultrachrome HDR ink based printer that can do well too in translucent ink, would be nice to know.

By the way, the specs Epson Astisan 1430 says max paper 13x19, but can handle 13x44! Anybody knows if it can print that long?

Thanks again, my project is getting forward because of you all!

Marc
Thanks again.

All of them! LOL
Canon PRO 9000 MKII s are being sold very cheap NEW on Ebay and or Craigslist. I own three. Two are still in their boxes. Paid $425 for all three NEW!
Super easy to refill and since you are in Canada you should contact Precision Color for 3rd party support if you decide to buy one.
